A native of the small town of Lisco, Nebraska, Summer was raised by middle-class parents who worked as ranchers and farmers. There, Summer learned the value of community, service, and selflessness towards positively influencing situations for others. It is something that has stayed with her throughout life, personally and professionally.
Wanting to make a difference in her community, Summer earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Special Education K-6 Mild and Moderate.
Summer taught school for three years. This introduced her to the significance of influencing others to achieve their best, as she had done with her students. Wanting to expand her ambition for encouraging others, Summer transferred into Human Resources, where, 15+ worked for a startup company, and then in the Health Care sector. Holding positions of Director of HR/Safety, Patience Experience Manager, and Director of Service Excellence Manager, and then Vice-President of Human Resources, Summer developed profound leadership, customer service, and people skills. She decided to use those attributes and experience to further help others obtain success and reach their full potential in their careers, organizations, and personal lives, by becoming a life coach and consultant.
For 9 years, Summer dedicated herself to speaking and training clients. In 2020, she founded Purpose Inspired Consulting, LLC, and aspired to help companies bring out the best in their employees and individuals extract greatness from themselves. Her mission was for organizations to create an empowering and inclusive environment where employees could be challenged and felt appreciated enough to perform at a high-level. Summer emphasized how crucial this concept was for the betterment of any company.
Throughout her career, Summer has been involved in the process of hiring and training employees, providing insight into what works to make an organization successful. Her expertise and genuine concern have also been fundamental in helping individuals break free of their doubts and disappointments and go for their dreams.
